Fantasy Lake Golf Course is pleased to announce Darren Hayden as our CPGA Head Golf Professional for the 2011 Golf Season.

Most recently Darren was employed the past 4 years as the Head Golf Professional at Elmhurst Golf and Country Club from 2007-2010. He has been employed in the golf industry for over eighteen years, and has been a member of the CPGA since 2001. Prior to Elmhurst, Darren was the lead Associate Golf Professional of Niakwa Country Club in 2006. He recorded his first hole in one at Southwood Golf & Country Club where he spent four years of his work as an Associate Professional from 2002-2005. He was the Co-Medalist in 2001 spring play ability test at Portage Golf Club, Portage, MB. Darren has over four years experience working at different retail golf stores in Winnipeg. Darren started his career by working nine years at St. Charles Golf & Country Club where he experienced all areas of a country club working as a server, bartender, valet, backshop manager and Apprentice Golf Professional from 1993-2001.

In 2003 Darren completed his class “A” CPGA exam and became a CPGA class “A” Associate member. In his college years at Grant MacEwan Darren received the 2002 Laidley Scholarship Award and the 2001 Michael Thompson Memorial Scholarship.
